Made with Alizé Red passion and Prosecco… tasty, nice colour - but not as sweet as I thought it would be!

SEXY Rosé Portugal, 2008

Price: $14.95
LCBO Tasting note: “This flirtatious pink wine is as playfully seductive as the name implies. Strawberry and cherry aromas mingle with earthy notes and exotic floral accents. Juicy red berry flavours emerge on the palate, coupled with a delicate touch of spice”
Our thoughts: This was a hit. As far as rosés go, this one was not as sweet as some, and made for a refreshing great tasting drink.

Price: $17.95
LCBO Tasting Note: “Made with Merlot, this medium-pink rosé shows subtle aromas of cherry, strawberry and melon on the nose. It's dry, medium-bodied with a mouth-filling texture balanced by zesty acidity. Quite racy, it features redcurrant, raspberry and grapefruit flavours leading to a medium finish”.
Our thoughts: Not as good as the Sexy Rosé – not worth the extra $$ - a bit too tart.
STRUT Well Heeled White (Riesling-Gewurztraminer)

Wine Rack notes: “Aromatic on the nose with tropical fruit, melon and pineapple, this blend of 70% Riesling and 30% Gewurztraminer displays lively fruit flavours with a refreshing finish”
Our thoughts: This one was a bit sweet, but when paired with the cheese and crackers and fruit, it really grew on us. Even those of us who don’t usually really like sweet whites enjoyed what this “smooth treat” had to offer.
STRUT Cab Couture (Cabernet-Merlot)

Price: $11.95
Wine Rack notes: Always fashionable, our blend of Cabernet and Merlot exudes bold red fruit flavours and a lengthy, complex finish. The perfect wine for making a statement!
Our thoughts: This was the wine club favourite for the night – a definite buy-again. Very tasty red, not too heavy, a bit sweet (in a good way) and quite delicious. (On a side note, I did buy this red again and enjoyed it just as much the 2nd time!)
