Description: Very pale lemon yellow; aromas of mineral, green apple, and pear; dry, light to medium-bodied, crisp acidity, fresh flavours of citrus and pear. Just about everyone liked this light and crisp white. It was very easy to drink. Host : Julie Attendees : Andrea, Anna, Carm, Melissa, Jacquie, Reem, Tayisa, Shereen Sparkling Maple sap (http://treewell.ca/) Comments: Unfortunately not a hit, Carm liked it, but majority found it a bit watery, but might be nice with a bit of rum or whiskey mixed in! Served: Organic beef/pork burgers (sliders) and chicken breast burgers Attendance: Andrea (birthday girl), Shereen, Julie, Jacquie, Reem, Tayisa, Anna Wines: Vintages Welcome beverage: traditional Sangria – red wine (Spanish red "Canditato", LCBO), cognac (Greek "Metaxa"), and triple sec. BURGER TOPPINGS and WINE PAIRINGS Grilled pineapple, sweet basil and sweet mustard - Estancia 2008 Pinnacles Ranches Chardonnay (California) ($19.95 - #0075614) - Brilliant straw-yellow colour leads to fine tropical fruit, toast and pear aromas.
